Medica was proud to attend the 2025 IBMS Awards Lunch, held on Friday 4th July at The Brewery in London. The prestigious event celebrated outstanding achievements in biomedical science, bringing together pathology professionals from across the UK.
As a sponsor of the Biomedical Science Leader Award, Medica was honoured to support recognition of exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact in the field. The award was presented to the winner by Ben Garlick, Head of Commercial at Medica.
This year’s winner was Andrea Johnson from Wye Valley NHS Trust — a passionate, dedicated, and inspiring leader. Andrea has successfully transformed her small histology laboratory into a thriving, dynamic department where both trainees and senior scientists feel valued, motivated, and empowered to perform at their best.
The afternoon was a fantastic celebration of the vital work carried out by biomedical scientists across the country. Medica thoroughly enjoyed being part of this inspiring event and congratulates all the nominees and winners.
