Medica sponsors Keith Chandler memorial race, supporting St Michael’s Hospice

Medica was proud to sponsor the Keith Chandler 5 Mile Memorial Road Race in Hastings on the 1^st June 2025— a long-standing event that brings together the local community in support of a vital cause.

Organised by Hastings Runners, the race has been held annually for the past 18 years in memory of former club member Keith Chandler. Since its inception, the event has raised an impressive £72,000 for St Michael’s Hospice, Medica’s corporate charity partner.

This year’s race once again saw strong community participation and a continued focus on fundraising for the Hospice, which provides compassionate care and support to those with life-limiting illnesses.

Medica was represented on the course by six enthusiastic team members: Jenna Thompsett, Hayley Ranson, Dave Ramshaw, Kirsty Brookes, Shae Jones and Jake Beech. 

The Keith Chandler Memorial Race continues to be a highlight in the local running calendar — a meaningful day of remembrance, community spirit, and charitable giving.
