Medica is thrilled to announce its partnership with St Michael’s Hospice as the company’s corporate charity partner for 2024. 

On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, a team from Medica including Fiona Carr, Group Head of HR, Graeme Betts, Director of Operations, Ben Garlick, Head of Commercial and Katie Glastonbury, Communications Manager, visited St Michael’s Hospice to learn more about the incredible work being done by the charity. They met with Perdita Chamberlain, Director of Income Generation, Sophie Bailey, Community and Corporate Fundraiser and Kate Maddams, Marketing and Communications Manager, who provided an overview of the hospice’s comprehensive range of services and innovative approaches to supporting individuals and families affected by life-limiting illnesses. 

St Michael’s Hospice plays a vital role in the local Hastings community, offering unparalleled care and support. As one of the largest employers in the area, Medica is committed to giving back to the community. By partnering with St Michael’s Hospice, Medica’s corporate fundraising initiatives and staff volunteering hours will directly contribute to the hospice’s mission both on-site and in the community as well their own corporate social responsibility objectives. 

 During the visit, the Medica team were impressed by the hospice’s attention to detail and the serene atmosphere of the premises. The synergy between Medica and St Michael’s Hospice was evident, particularly in discussions about medical services and the provision of high-quality tailored care. Looking to the future, Medica hopes to contribute in a variety of ways to support this fantastic local charity.
