We would like to introduce and welcome Dr Ronny Sandhu in his new role at MEDICA as Clinical Engagement Lead.

As a result of ongoing feedback with our reporters we have created this clinical lead role, specifically aimed at providing MEDICA reporters with a shared voice and to act as a dedicated clinical advocate for the MEDICA reporting cohort.

Sarah Burns, Chief Operating Officer said, “The appointment of Ronny demonstrates a new level of commitment to our reporters. With our ambitious growth plans the need for a dedicated clinical advocate was identified. Ronny will be a great asset to the team and his appointment will help drive our continuous improvement strategy.”

Ronny is a Consultant General Radiologist with special interests in acute and oncology imaging and PET-CT, currently working at Croydon NHS Trust. His pre-clinical studies were at Trinity College, Cambridge and clinical studies at Royal Free and University College London Medical School.

Outside of his clinical career Ronny has also studied the graduate diploma in law, holds a formal counselling qualification, has been health and wellbeing ambassador for Kings Health Partners and has worked for a year as a healthcare management consultant for Ernst and Young.

He joins as an experienced teleradiologist and his role at MEDICA will be two-fold. Firstly, as a reporting radiologist engaging in Routine and NightHawk reporting. Secondly, as Clinical Engagement Lead for Radiologists and Reporting Radiographers. This is a wide-ranging role which will include aspects of radiologist and radiographer engagement and retention.
