Medica has been shortlisted in the Best in Primary Care and Diagnostics category at the LaingBuisson 2025 Awards, which celebrate excellence across the UK’s independent healthcare sector.

The recognition reflects Medica’s role as a strategic partner to NHS Trusts and Health Boards, delivering more than 2.5 million patient reports in 2024 to support timely diagnosis, reduce waiting times and improve outcomes.

Recent innovations have contributed to this impact, including enhanced reporting workflows and the launch of MedPath, Medica’s digital pathology service. These developments are helping healthcare providers manage rising demand and improve efficiency, with measurable gains in turnaround times and reporting volumes.

Medica has also advanced research in radiology through its collaboration with Qure.ai. Findings from a joint study, published in the British Journal of Radiology, explored the accuracy of artificial intelligence in detecting intracranial haemorrhage in CT head scans

Being named a finalist underscores Medica’s leadership in diagnostics and its ongoing commitment to supporting NHS teams in delivering high-quality patient care.
