Dr Ronny Sandhu

Clinical Lead for Education and Reporter Welfare

Dr Ronny Sandhu MA(cantab), MBBS, MRCS, FRCR is a consultant radiologist with special interests in acute and oncology imaging, currently working as divisional medical director at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. His pre-clinical studies were at Trinity College, Cambridge and clinical studies at Royal Free and University College London Medical School.

Having gained MRCS during foundation training, he completed his radiology training at Imperial College NHS Trust, where he subspecialised in nuclear medicine and hybrid imaging. Since his CCT in 2014, he has worked as a trauma and onco-radiologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Trust, London.

Since his CCT, he has also studied the graduate diploma in law and has worked as a healthcare management consultant for Ernst and Young, which included working on national cost improvement programmes and a secondment to NHS England within the New Care Models design team. He is an experienced consultant appraiser and has worked in teleradiology since 2015.

His roles at Medica are as a reporting radiologist and clinical lead for education and report welfare. This is a wide-ranging leadership role, involving keeping in close contact with the reporter workforce to promote engagement and ensure a safe and effective workflow model.
