A gruesome cycle challenge which saw a group of brave MEDICA staff complete an overnight cycle ride from London to Brighton, totting up over 66 miles, has raised more than £2,000 for charity.
The epic bike ride, which was in aid of Cancer Research UK, saw the group of 7 take to London’s busy roads for a gruelling 6 hour cycle to Brighton, taking on the famous and seemingly never-ending, ‘Ditchling Beacon’ en route as well as a host of other challenges thrown at them.
Gary Thompsett, Service Delivery Lead, said: “We all knew the challenge was going to be tough but the physical demand was greater than I could have imagined! We had to overcome various difficulties throughout the ride but the team stayed strong and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us and the great cause we were riding for. “
