The next few weeks will see our team attend several industry events spanning the length of the country and we welcome you to visit us at any of the following;
BRISTOL
Event: JCA Bristol MRI
When: Monday 16th – Thursday 19th January 2017
Where: The Royal Bristol Marriott Hotel, Bristol
This annual event covers a programme including MSK, Neuro, Abdominal and Gynae.
LEEDS
Event: Errors Course
When: Thursday 26th and 27th January 2017
Where: Radiology Academy, Leeds General Infirmary.
This very popular course will be run for the 4th year in Leeds and has been extended to two days due to its popularity. The course will include lectures from international and national authorities including both the incoming and outgoing Royal College of Radiology presidents. Topics to be covered include: How to run an effective discrepancy meeting; Lessons learnt from the aviation and road traffic industries; Radiological checklist utilisation; The READ project; Effective IT communication; Common medico-legal cases; Candour; Human factors. Half of the sessions once again are the ever-popular targeted clinical teaching.
Experts from each of the sub specialties give invaluable advice on avoiding the common pitfalls.
Our Medical Director Dr Stephen Davies will also be delivering a speech titled ‘Learning from discrepancy – MEDICA governance – a structured approach’
LONDON
Event: BSGAR
When: 2nd and 3rd February 2017
Where: Mermaid Theatre and Conference Centre, London
BSGAR annual is a two-day scientific meeting, allowing radiologists with an interest in gastrointestinal and abdominal imaging to efficiently accumulate relevant CPD credit. Delegate feedback for the 2016 course was very positive.
The course is aimed at consultants and trainees who want to learn a new skill, or build on their existing experience of MR enterography.
MANCHESTER
Event: RSM Head & Neck Refresher Course
When: 24th February 2017
Where: Museum of Science and Innovation, Manchester
This will be the 3rd annual RSM and BSHNI head and neck imaging refresher course which will focus on soft tissue and thyroid and will be held in Manchester.
The specific meeting will focus on established and latest techniques with reference to soft tissue neck imaging. The main areas that will be covered will be neck spaces, salivary glands, lymph nodes, thyroid and parathyroid categories.
This one day course will include workshops which will allow smaller groups and interactive sessions. Educational exhibits in the form of posters will also be displayed throughout the day.
MEDICA finds these events a great way of touching base with our clients and partner Radiologists, Radiographers and Rheumatologists.
